In-Home Micro Wedding Ohio | Austin and Samantha
As a wedding photographer, capturing joyous moments is always a pleasure, so I’m delighted to introduce Austin and Samantha’s beautiful micro wedding in Cleveland, Ohio.
This adorable couple met through Samantha’s college roommate, who was Austin’s best friend in high school. Austin and Samantha are on my schedule for a wedding next year, but they contacted me immediately after they bought a house, asking if I was available to photograph an impromptu wedding ceremony there in lieu of a traditional engagement session. And, of course, my answer was a huge YES!!!
I acknowledge the significance of doing things your way on your special day. Your wedding should be a reflection of your unique love story, personality, and dreams. What matters is a celebration authentically representing you as a couple. I propose you let go of convention and let your creativity soar as you design a wedding experience that is distinctly yours.
They wanted to share a very special first memory in their first home. So while in the process of painting, they decided to have an impromptu intimate wedding. They didn’t have anything in their home yet, so they were working with a blank slate. Transforming their fireplace into a captivating centerpiece, Austin and Samantha adorned it with an array of greenery and florals and an abundance of softly flickering candles.
The only guests present were her parents, who helped her get ready. Her dad was also the officiant. Once they’d committed themselves to each other, her parents left, and Samantha and Austin shared a sweet first dance in their empty living room. This was such a memorable time for them (and me)!
Being able to capture the beautiful moments shared by Samantha and Austin during this unforgettable time will forever hold a special place in my heart. I loved getting to photograph this micro wedding in Ohio.
