Mike and Kelly’s wedding ceremony at Saint John The Evangelist Cleveland and Crowne Plaza Downtown Cleveland wedding reception featuring wedding photos at FirstEnergy Stadium was an unforgettable celebration!

Since Kelly is from Cleveland, they got married here even though they currently live in Chicago. They both have such welcoming personalities and love sports. As you’ll see in the photos, their day features several nods to their love of sports.

On a frigid day in November, Mike and Kelly’s ceremony was at Saint John the Evangelist, Cleveland. This beautiful cathedral is located in the heart of downtown Cleveland. The elegant refinement of the church’s architecture is stunning.

Mike and Kelly are big sports fans, so as a total surprise to their wedding party, they rented out Brown’s FirstEnergy Stadium for portraits. Their friends and family had no idea, so when they were on the party bus headed to the stadium, the joy from their unsuspecting bridal party was next level. Although it was painfully cold, there were no complaints, and everyone was happy to be there. I love how Kelly lived her best life at the stadium; although we were all so cold that we couldn’t feel our faces, she said, “Cleveland girls don’t get cold!” As a photographer, it was sensational to go into the professional sports stadium and capture the fun and enthusiastic photos of the couple and their wedding party.

Their wedding reception was at the Downtown Cleveland Wedding Venue Crowne Plaza Downtown Cleveland. The location is exceptional, within blocks of some of Cleveland’s most iconic activities and events. This area radiates an exciting vibe and is exciting to visit. The ballroom has seating up to 300 for your large wedding. However, if you’re looking for a more intimate area, they offer several other rooms to bring your wedding-day vision to life. Mike and Kelly’s engagement photo was displayed on the billboard outside the hotel, which was a charming touch to their day. As a salute to their favorite teams, they displayed Ohio State and Purdue flags for their guests to sign.
