Hi! This blog is a great place to see highlights from weddings, which I think is more helpful than viewing a portfolio comprised of random favorites from a million different weddings. Please keep in mind that I deliver around 1,000 edited photos per wedding, so these posts are just 50-ish photos I liked from these weddings. Let me know if you'd like to see an entire wedding gallery—I'm happy to send you a link!
Capturing love stories is my passion, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to share this Cleveland, Ohio engagement session. We embarked on a cold but sunny Cleveland engagement photography journey to celebrate the love story between Megan and Joe.
This adorable couple is both in the medical field and were the last of their friend group to realize they should be dating. Megan and Joe were guests at a wedding I photographed, and they loved my vibe and photos of their friend’s wedding, so they contacted me to photograph their big day. One of my highest forms of flattery is when couples see my work and choose me to be their Cleveland, Ohio wedding photographer.
After Megan and Joe saw my Instagram feed, they knew they wanted photos at the Cuyahoga Jack-Knife Bridge. This abandoned old relic of railroad history still stands high against the Cleveland sky. Although most of the tracks have been destroyed and the mills are gone, this still stands as an iconic backdrop for photos. Dressed in chic attire, Megan wore a dress with a jean jacket, and Joe wore khaki pants with a button-down shirt. This was the perfect combination of outfits for them against the aged industrial bridge.
Megan and Joe wanted a diverse backdrop from the bridge, so they chose the CLE script sign in the Flats. Thankfully, I scoped out the sign location before our session, and there’s a construction eyesore behind it, so we chose the Tremont CLE sign instead. I pride myself in location choices for my couples, so I’m always happy to investigate the session area before a shoot. This particular sign has the backdrop of the Cleveland skyline and several bridges that scan the Cuyahoga River, and if you want a night view, fireworks from Progressive Field can be seen from this spot. Megan and Joe changed outfits for this part of their Cleveland engagement photography session with a dressy casual look.
I always aim to engage with my couples and keep them talking and laughing. This makes them comfortable, which results in better, more authentic photos. We laughed so much during this session, and Megan said she loves some of the super-candid-laughing photos the most!
Here’s a sweet testimonial from them: “You were awesome and made us feel so incredibly comfortable!! We so can’t wait for the big day!!!!”
I am so excited for their wedding day! As a Cleveland Ohio wedding photographer, I love getting to know my couples better during their engagement sessions.
