Hi! This blog is a great place to see highlights from weddings, which I think is more helpful than viewing a portfolio comprised of random favorites from a million different weddings. Please keep in mind that I deliver around 1,000 edited photos per wedding, so these posts are just 50-ish photos I liked from these weddings. Let me know if you'd like to see an entire wedding gallery—I'm happy to send you a link!
Windows on the River Cleveland was the perfect location for Emily and Andrew’s winter wedding. It was a cold and windy February day, but that didn’t stop this incredible couple from having the wedding of their dreams.
These two met in the typical millennial way by a swipe on a dating app. Both living in Nashville, just miles apart, Emily had grown tired of first dates and declined Andrew’s offer to take her out. She was hanging at her apartment in her pj’s and a glass of wine, and she invited him over. Once he arrived and her cat comfortably laid on his lap, she knew she’d found someone special. Once Andrew finished his Ph.D. at Vanderbilt, he moved back to his hometown of Cleveland, and shortly after, Emily followed. A few days shy of their sixth year of dating, they took a trip to Barcelona, where Andrew popped the question, and Emily quickly said yes!
I’ve photographed many weddings at Windows on the River Cleveland, so I was delighted to return and capture Emily and Andrew’s wedding day. Windows on the River offers timeless elegance and breathtaking views in the heart of Cleveland, Ohio. The beauty of the space leaves you enchanted as you enter. As one of the unique Cleveland Oh wedding venues, the luxury of a ceremony and reception in the majestic Bridge View Room, Windows on the River, sets the stage for a wedding day that will be remembered for a lifetime.
Andrew and Emily were all smiles with their bridal party while getting ready for their big day. Emily shed a few tears as she showed off the special heart sewn into her gown, while Andrew was excited to wear his specially made cufflinks and tie clip. Emily shared a few memorable moments with her bridesmaids, the groomsmen, and her brother, who walked her down the aisle. Sharing their first look at Playhouse Square, Emily and Andrew were thrilled to see each other and bask in the wedding day glow.
The 3rd-floor view was the perfect backdrop to encase the essence of the day. The Bridge View Room offers a captivating view of the iconic bridges that span the Cuyahoga River and provides an intimate and romantic atmosphere. The gorgeous florals and other special details added a soft touch to the industrialized location. After exchanging vows and formal portraits, the reception was filled with joy, laughter, and dancing. Emily and Andrews’s most memorable day ended with a fun bubble exit.
Finding the perfect location to create stunning images capturing the nature of a couple’s special day can be challenging. In some areas, like here, free indoor spots may be limited. Renting an indoor space for portraits, like Emily and Andrew rented The Arcade, is optional but a good idea. Doing so will eliminate the worry of inclement weather conditions.
“Amanda took the most incredible photos of us on our wedding day. We know we wanted to work with Amanda immediately during our first meeting. She took our ideas of what we wanted for photos and turned them into reality—better than we could have ever imagined!! Honestly, her photos speak for themselves and showcase how truly and incredibly talented she is. On top of that, Amanda was just a joy to work with and I truly enjoyed having her be a part of our wedding day!”
I’m thankful for the recommendation from Oh Hello Event Planning. This was such a fun celebration for these two, and I loved capturing their wedding day! Check out some of my favorites from their Windows on the River wedding!
