Hi! This blog is a great place to see highlights from weddings, which I think is more helpful than viewing a portfolio comprised of random favorites from a million different weddings. Please keep in mind that I deliver around 1,000 edited photos per wedding, so these posts are just 50-ish photos I liked from these weddings. Let me know if you'd like to see an entire wedding gallery—I'm happy to send you a link!
Jason and Jamie had their Windows on the River Wedding on a warm, sunny day in September.
This amazing couple is so much fun! I met them through a co-worker of Jason’s—and photographed their surprise proposal a couple years prior to their wedding. I was over the moon when Jason contacted me about photographing their wedding!
Windows on the River Cleveland has a history dating back to the late 1800’s. Located in the FirstEnergy Powerhouse, this venue in Cleveland, Ohio, is an impressive event space to host your wedding. Its urban atmosphere plays into its industrial style. Dependent on your wedding vibe and the background you desire, Windows on the River can accommodate you in one of their three banquet rooms.
Jason and Jamie shared an incredible wedding day with many family and friends. They are a classy, trendy, and hilarious couple with a zest for life and fun! They began their day by sharing a first look. However, to surprise Jason, one of his groomsmen showed up first in a wedding dress. There was no doubt that this brought lots of laughter. After the official first look, we grabbed pictures of them and their wedding party. Jason was especially proud of the floral ties he and his groomsmen wore. Jamie had her bridesmaids wear crisp, lovely dresses like hers, even donning a bold slit skirt. Their parents even dressed similarly to the wedding party. To ensure their bridal party wasn’t bored during their photos, they made a pitstop for pizza and beer, which kept everyone involved and happy!
Jason and Jamie chose the City View space for their Windows on the River Wedding. A staircase led from the third floor to the wedding guests, enabling the wedding party to ascend to them. The floor-to-ceiling windows displayed a first-hand view of downtown Cleveland and the Cuyahoga River. This made for a spectacular backdrop for this wonderful couple to begin their marriage journey.
Their celebration continued at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium after their ceremony, while the event space was converted into a reception area. This is an incredible option that is available when utilizing Windows on the River Cleveland.
Their wedding day is shared with Jamie’s grandparents. So after Jason and Jamie’s first dance, her grandparents shared a dance as well, leaving not a dry eye in the house.
Jason and Jamie are such incredible humans! I love being a part of their big day! They were so welcoming to all their guests and made everyone feel blessed to join them.
I was honored to photograph Jason and Jamie’s Windows on the River Wedding. Enjoy some of my favorites from their incredible day!
“Amanda was amazing to work with for our wedding! She’s great at telling you how to pose without looking to posey. She has such a chill vibe that I felt so relaxed and comfortable around her, which is needed when I was so nervous/excited about the day. Her photos are amazing and her editing is breathtaking. She knows what angles to get to make sure you and the background look good. I would highly suggest booking Amanda for you wedding!”
