Hi! This blog is a great place to see highlights from weddings, which I think is more helpful than viewing a portfolio comprised of random favorites from a million different weddings. Please keep in mind that I deliver around 1,000 edited photos per wedding, so these posts are just 50-ish photos I liked from these weddings. Let me know if you'd like to see an entire wedding gallery—I'm happy to send you a link!
It was a perfect fall day for Dan and Natalie’s wedding at Avon Oaks Country Club.
The way that these two met is similar to a Hallmark movie. Dan is a firefighter/paramedic. So when Natalie had to dial 911 for a medical situation, he just happened to respond to the call; Dan to the rescue!
Avon Oaks Country Club is an elegant and timeless wedding venue located in Avon, Ohio. This venue can host both indoor and outdoor ceremonies. There is a lot of natural light in the venue’s atrium, and it was the perfect place to take Natalie’s getting-ready photos. There is a majestic chandelier that adorns the grand staircase, so we, of course, had to stop and take pictures with it.
Natalie had a gorgeous cathedral-length veil that she was so excited to wear. There was lace detailing on the bottom of it, which flowed beautifully as she walked down the aisle. Whenever my brides wear a veil, you can always guarantee we will get some dreamy portraits with it blowing in the wind. Once she was ready for the day, her father met her for a first look. Natalie was eager for this moment, and it didn’t disappoint. As he turned around, tears streamed down his face, which then made all of us in the room cry as well!
Their guests enjoyed the night by listening to several enduring speeches, eating tasty cake, and dancing the night away. As the night came to an end, everyone lined up with sparklers. Dan and Natalie stopped for a kiss, and it was undoubtedly one of my favorite photos from their wedding day!
I often hear from my couples that they chose me as their wedding photographer because I don’t put them in awkward poses. I like to keep my couples moving so they aren’t standing like a statue. Doing so helps make people feel more comfortable in front of the camera. Natalie told me that she cried, laughed, and smiled when she got her wedding photos back. It gives me great pleasure to hear about the emotions I work to evoke with my photography.
Congratulations, Dan and Natalie! You had a beautiful wedding at Avon Oaks Country Club. Here are some of my favorites from their big day!
