Hi! This blog is a great place to see highlights from weddings, which I think is more helpful than viewing a portfolio comprised of random favorites from a million different weddings. Please keep in mind that I deliver around 1,000 edited photos per wedding, so these posts are just 50-ish photos I liked from these weddings. Let me know if you'd like to see an entire wedding gallery—I'm happy to send you a link!
It was SUCH a joy to be part of Melanie and Dan’s wedding day! They got married on a gorgeous sunny day in June. Their ceremony was at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and their reception was at St. Clair Ballroom in downtown Cleveland. St. Clair Ballroom absolutely radiates elegance and showcases the amazing views of our incredible city. Once the sun goes down, the city lights shine into the ballroom, which really adds to the atmosphere of the party.
Once Melanie was all dressed and ready, she had a first look with her bridesmaids, which was heart-burstingly sweet. Bridesmaids always have the best reactions, and Melanie’s certainly didn’t disappoint. If a couple chooses not to do a first look, then I highly recommend the bride does one with her ladies!
Tears filled Dan’s eyes as he saw Melanie walk down the aisle. They had a perfect ceremony as their family and friends enjoyed watching them commit to each other for the rest of their lives. They were SO excited to finally be Mr. and Mrs.!
After the ceremony was over, we headed to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Voinovich Bicentennial Park for all of their portraits. It was fitting to do portraits at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because their reception theme was rock & roll. Their bridal party was lively and entertaining, really setting the tone for the rest of the day!
Dan and Melanie, as well as all of their guests, were so chill and such a blast to be around! The most important thing to the couple was spending time with their guests. They joined in the cocktail hour and made sure everybody had a great time.
Their reception was way more than just a reception—it was a PARTY! Their rock and roll decor was so clever; they used records for the table numbers and guitar picks in the centerpieces, and had blow-up guitars and microphones for people to enjoy throughout the night. I’ve been to more weddings than I can count, and I’ve NEVER seen such a packed dance floor! Dan has some epic air-guitar skills that made several appearances throughout the day, and I still smile when I remember these one-man performances.
I’m so glad I was able to photograph Dan and Melanie’s wedding day and be part of their awesome party! Congratulations to you two!
