Hi! This blog is a great place to see highlights from weddings, which I think is more helpful than viewing a portfolio comprised of random favorites from a million different weddings. Please keep in mind that I deliver around 1,000 edited photos per wedding, so these posts are just 50-ish photos I liked from these weddings. Let me know if you'd like to see an entire wedding gallery—I'm happy to send you a link!
Katie and DJ slipped out of their reception to take some portraits with their beloved Volkswagen—and it turned into one of the most memorable parts of the day. We had hoped for that glowing golden-hour sunset, but the sun stayed tucked behind the clouds. The thing is—it didn’t matter.
With their vintage Volkswagen Bug, the soft evening light, and a quiet moment away from the crowd, the vibe was perfect. The car brought all the retro charm, and Katie and DJ were totally in their element, just soaking in a few peaceful minutes together—and it shows in every frame.
If you’re planning your wedding, I highly recommend carving out a few minutes during your reception to step away for portraits like this. No pressure, no stiff poses—just a chance to breathe, reconnect, and capture some of the most natural moments of the day.
The sunset may not have made an appearance, but with these two (and that VW Bug), we didn’t need it.
Planning your own wedding? Let’s talk about building in a moment like this into your timeline—you won’t regret it. Reach out and let’s make some magic.
