Hi! This blog is a great place to see highlights from weddings, which I think is more helpful than viewing a portfolio comprised of random favorites from a million different weddings. Please keep in mind that I deliver around 1,000 edited photos per wedding, so these posts are just 50-ish photos I liked from these weddings. Let me know if you'd like to see an entire wedding gallery—I'm happy to send you a link!
Lindsay & Hyo chose The Elliot in Cleveland, Ohio for their micro wedding—and it’s easy to see why. Nestled in the heart of Tremont, this restored church-turned-venue offers a perfect blend of timeless architecture and modern finishes. With its soaring vaulted ceilings, iconic stained-glass windows, and cozy lower-level speakeasy, The Elliot creates a warm, intimate atmosphere that feels custom-built for meaningful moments.
This wasn’t your typical wedding day. Lindsay & Hyo invited only their immediate family—and, of course, their four-legged family members—to share in their celebration. With less focus on tradition and more on connection, their wedding day felt deeply personal, intentional, and calm in the best way.
They incorporated handmade details throughout the space, proving that a DIY wedding can still be stylish, elegant, and full of heart. Every touch felt like an extension of their personalities.
There’s a psychological concept called regency bias—the idea that we tend to favor the most recent experience simply because it’s fresh in our minds. As a photographer, I feel this all the time. It’s easy to walk away from a wedding thinking, That was my favorite one yet, just because I was emotionally in it and recently edited the gallery.
So I waited. Several weeks after delivering Lindsay & Hyo’s gallery, I sat with their images before writing this post. I wanted to see which moments stuck with me—which photos still pulled me in without the influence of “just-shot glow.”
And even after that time… I still had a hard time narrowing it down. Every frame from this day felt honest, joyful, and full of soul.
From exchanging vows under The Elliot’s stunning stained-glass window to sneaking kisses in the stairwell, every moment of Lindsay & Hyo’s wedding reflected what matters most to them: connection, simplicity, and love in its purest form.
If you’re planning a micro wedding in Cleveland, love the idea of a DIY celebration, or want to include your four-legged best friends in the festivities, their day is full of inspiration.
If you’re looking for a photographer who values meaning over trends and knows how to capture those quiet, emotional moments, I’d love to connect.
