Hi! This blog is a great place to see highlights from weddings, which I think is more helpful than viewing a portfolio comprised of random favorites from a million different weddings. Please keep in mind that I deliver around 1,000 edited photos per wedding, so these posts are just 50-ish photos I liked from these weddings. Let me know if you'd like to see an entire wedding gallery—I'm happy to send you a link!
On a warm, sunny day in June, Jim and Katie had a Cleveland Public Library Wedding ceremony and a Windows on the River Wedding reception.
Two years ago, I photographed their socially-distanced wedding. It was great getting this fabulous couple behind my camera again to capture their official big day!
We started the day at the Hyatt while Katie and her friends got ready for the day. Katie had dreamt of having a high-glamorous ponytail for her special day, and she got it! It was the perfect hairstyle for her!
After everyone was ready, we grabbed first-look pictures at the Hyatt Regency Cleveland at The Arcade. The stairs and ambiance of this location is remarkable for photos before the wedding. Smiles came upon their faces as they saw each other for the first time in their wedding attire, and they both looked radiant. During the photos, they even had an audience and gave them a wave. We made a stop on East 4th Street to grab some pictures of them at this spectacular location, along with a quick drink. Next was the famous CLE script sign, where a pet escort service met us so they could include their dog in some photos.
The Cleveland Public Library Wedding location was a perfect spot for their ceremony. It allowed us to get pictures of them on the steps leading up to the stately building and then move to a garden area to meet their guests. The stone building, with its arched windows, made for a lovely backdrop for their vows. They were ready to celebrate this special day after a few tears, many smiles, and kisses later.
This fun, relaxing day was taken to the Windows on the River Wedding venue to rejoice in the wedding of Jim and Katie. Cleveland’s waterfront adds a special touch to this location. Guests enjoyed the city view with an outdoor patio and remarkable indoor space for their reception. After the formalities of the reception ended, the dancing and arcade games began. Jim and Katie desired a casual, enjoyable day to laugh and party with their family and friends.
I used to photograph Katie’s friend’s family, and she always liked the natural way I posed my couples, so I was thrilled I was able to capture their day!
