Hi! This blog is a great place to see highlights from weddings, which I think is more helpful than viewing a portfolio comprised of random favorites from a million different weddings. Please keep in mind that I deliver around 1,000 edited photos per wedding, so these posts are just 50-ish photos I liked from these weddings. Let me know if you'd like to see an entire wedding gallery—I'm happy to send you a link!
Johnny and Emily had a lovely Windows on the River Wedding on a steamy summer day in Cleveland!
They currently reside in California and had a micro-wedding on Zoom last year for their family and friends to witness. Their ties to Cleveland brought them back here to celebrate their marriage in a big way. They are a kind and brilliant couple, as Johnny works at Google and Emily is a teacher.
Once Johnny and Emily were ready for their memorable day, they shared a first look. Of course, they each looked amazing and had to do a little dance to proclaim their excitement for the day. Shortly after their first look, they included their two-month-old son in a few portraits. He was just as precious as could be, and he wore the tuxedo bodysuit the videographer and I mailed them when they booked us as part of their vendor team.
Before heading to Windows on the River, we visited Voinovich Park and The Cleveland Museum of Art to grab pictures of them with their wedding party. We had a great time capturing them with some of their favorite people. They were all so much fun and made it easy to work together.
Windows on the River provided the perfect space for their ceremony and reception. Located in the FirstEnergy Powerhouse, they treasured having their big day here because they love the industrial vibe this venue provides. The space offers industrial architecture with high ceilings, exposed brick, and dramatic views of the city, the Cuyahoga River, and historic buildings. In addition to providing several different all-inclusive packages, this location offers multiple rooms to hold your wedding.
During the ceremony, they each read their separate vows, which brought on emotional tears of joy and laughter and included a unity alcoholic shot that the two shared out of the same unique cup. After the ceremony, we captured family photos and moved on to the celebration part of the day.
Johnny used to be in a band that played at their wedding reception. Of course, he had to jump in and play a song with them! Johnny thanked all their vendors by name during his welcome speech before dinner, which was a kind gesture. I’d never witnessed a couple doing that before, and I know all the vendors appreciated it.
Oh Hello Event Planning recommended me to Johnny and Emily for their Windows on the River Wedding. The joy in my imagery attracted them to my photography. They completely trusted my vision and had complete confidence in all of their vendors.
It was a pleasure to be a part of Johnny and Emily’s wedding day at Windows on the River!
