Mitchell’s Ice Cream Engagement Session | Tatiana and John

I’m so excited to share this Mitchell’s Ice Cream engagement session! I had a blast with Tatiana and John for their engagement photos.

Tatiana and John met at The Melting Pot during college. John had to wait ever so patiently for Tatiana to realize he wanted to be more than just friends! They now both work for the same big company but in separate professional fields. At the beginning of the pandemic, they decided to move in with each other, and their love blossomed during quarantine!

Most of my wedding photography packages include a complimentary engagement session, so we decided to meet up and grab some photos. Since they already had a small outdoor engagement session with one of their photographer friends, we chose to take these images inside. Cleveland doesn’t offer many free indoor venues, so I had to put my creative juices to work on finding the perfect place!

I called Mitchell’s Ice Cream to see if we could shoot there, and they were more than happy to let us! I was delighted because Mitchell’s is an adorable and iconic ice cream shop around Cleveland. When we first arrived, we adventured around the shop and then went inside to get an ice cream cone! I try to slow down during my engagement sessions and chat with each couple. It’s great getting to know all of my couples on a more personable level so I can build trust and confidence. We all laughed together throughout the whole session and formed a great bond!

Tatiana found me through one of her co-workers whose wedding I’m photographing later this year. I can’t wait to photograph John and Tatiana’s wedding at Tall Oaks Barn this summer! Their wedding will be my first time at this venue, so I’m excited to explore this new-to-me location. But for now, check out some of my favorites from their Mitchell’s Ice Cream engagement session!
