Hi! This blog is a great place to see highlights from weddings, which I think is more helpful than viewing a portfolio comprised of random favorites from a million different weddings. Please keep in mind that I deliver around 1,000 edited photos per wedding, so these posts are just 50-ish photos I liked from these weddings. Let me know if you'd like to see an entire wedding gallery—I'm happy to send you a link!
Samantha and James had a sophisticated Cleveland New Year’s Eve wedding!
James and Samantha were planning their big dream wedding, but like so many others, they decided to hold off due to the pandemic. Instead of a big wedding, they had a small ceremony, and in the meantime, they had a beautiful daughter. They were so excited to include her in the big celebration! Since they postponed their wedding, they knew they wanted to do it BIG. They chose to have a Cleveland New Year’s Eve wedding, and to paaaar-taaaaay.
It was so sweet to watch Samantha’s daughter snuggle up to her as she and her bridesmaids got ready for the day. She is SUCH a little cutie and wore an adorable pink dress. The soft pink shade was the perfect pop of color for their wedding.
Their wedding ceremony was at St. Ann Church in Cleveland Heights. It was festively decorated with Christmas trees and poinsettias. After Samantha and James said their I-do’s, they had portraits taken at the pier and North Coast Harbor: two iconic photo spots in Cleveland! Samantha and her bridesmaids wore fur shawls to keep warm, and they looked SO dang elegant. The Christmas lights turned on as the sun went down while they were walking around downtown. Before officially starting the reception, they took a quick pit stop at a bar to take a shot!
James and Samantha chose to have their wedding reception at Tudor Arms Hotel. It was the perfect Cleveland venue to hold a sophisticated New Year’s Eve party! Guests were greeted with white feathers and beads in a roaring 20s-inspired reception space. They had a table full of fun New Year’s Eve gear with party hats, noise-makers, and beads; everyone was well-equipped to celebrate the newlyweds and ring in 2022!
Everyone danced the night away and had the time of their lives! As they counted down to the new year, it was incredible to see all the couples sharing their midnight kiss. It was definitely worth the wait for Samantha and James to tie the knot!
Before their wedding day, I unfortunately got sick with COVID and had to find a photographer to fill in for me, which was basically one of my worst nightmares come true. As I was searching for a fill-in, I was blown away by all the support I received from my vendor friends. I’m beyond thankful for Cory Regovich for stepping up and capturing James and Samantha’s wedding day on behalf. She photographed them the very same way I would have, and as I was editing these photos, I kept thinking, “OMG, I totally would have taken this exact photo in this exact same way,” and I just couldn’t be happier with how these photos turned out!
Congratulations, Samantha and James! Enjoy some of my favorites from their Cleveland New Year’s Eve Wedding!
