Hi! This blog is a great place to see highlights from weddings, which I think is more helpful than viewing a portfolio comprised of random favorites from a million different weddings. Please keep in mind that I deliver around 1,000 edited photos per wedding, so these posts are just 50-ish photos I liked from these weddings. Let me know if you'd like to see an entire wedding gallery—I'm happy to send you a link!
Hollie and Angelo’s mid-September wedding at The Everly was spectacular! I used to work with Hollie years ago and was so excited when she asked me to photograph their day at one of Cleveland’s newest wedding venues.
I so, so enjoyed being part of Hollie and Angelo’s wedding day, which took place in Hollie’s hometown, Mentor, Ohio. They got married at the beautiful Saint John Vianney Church, and had their reception at The Everly.
Hollie expressed in her very first e-mail to me that she typically hates having her photo taken, so when she and Angelo got engaged, she immediately knew she wanted me as their photographer because she knew she’d be comfortable around me. After I delivered these photos, Hollie told me, “You made me laugh and feel relaxed and also boosted my confidence – literally everything I needed that day.” Angelo and Hollie are very easygoing, and are just so in love and thankful that they found each other “later” in life. Hollie got a bonus daughter out of the deal, too! Simply being around all of them was an absolute joy.
After the ceremony, we grabbed some gorgeous portraits in front of the water before we headed to the reception. The Everly is a new luxurious wedding venue, so I was super excited to photograph there. The venue is every couple’s dream location to party after their ceremony. I was especially obsessed with the lovely courtyard area, which is where Hollie and Angelo’s guests enjoyed cocktail hour. All of the employees went above and beyond and truly made Angelo and Hollie’s reception wonderful.
After dinner and speeches, it was time to party on the dance floor. During the first dance, Hollie’s emotions spilled over, and I couldn’t help but cry, too—because dang, I LOVE love. Once the wedding rituals were over, the dance floor was packed with everyone having a great time.
I was so happy to be a part of Hollie and Angelo’s day, and witnessing all the love they share with each other and with their close friends and family. Check out some of my favorites from their (almost) fall wedding at The Everly!
